The type of stamping equipment is mainly selected according to the nature of the stamping process to be completed, the production batch, the size and accuracy requirements of the stamping parts.
(1) For small and medium-sized blanking parts, bending parts or deep drawing parts, the open mechanical press is mainly selected. However, the stiffness of the open mechanical press is not high, and the deformation of the bed under the action of a large impact pressure will change the distribution of the die clearance, reduce the life of the die and the surface quality of the stamping parts. However, it provides extremely convenient operating conditions and is easy to install mechanized accessories, Therefore, it is still the main equipment for the production of small and medium-sized stamping parts. In addition, in the production of small and medium-sized stamping parts, if the guide plate die is used or the die that requires the guide pillar and guide sleeve not to disengage during work, the eccentric press with small stroke shall be selected.
(2) In small batch production, hydraulic press or friction press are mostly used. The hydraulic press has no fixed stroke, so it will not be overloaded due to the change of sheet thickness. In addition, it has obvious advantages compared with the mechanical press when large force stroke is required for processing, so it is particularly suitable for the production of large thick sheet stamping parts. Because hydraulic press has the characteristics of low speed, low production efficiency, low cost, and is not easy to cause overload damage, it is often used to bend large and thick bending parts in small batch production, especially suitable for forming processes such as leveling, shaping, embossing, etc. But the friction press has small stroke times, low production efficiency and inconvenient operation.
